OUR NAME

The name The 180 is a nod to the physical location of the School of Hotel Administration (SHA) on the Cornell University campus. Specifically, 180 Statler Hall is home to the Office of Student Services (OSS), Career Management, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and other resources that help SHA students succeed in academics and careers. These departments and groups play a very active role in starting every Hotelie's experience at the Statler Hall, the same experiences that we hope to showcase in our publications.

 

The publication strives to showcase yearly events. And the name symbolizes the full view of the events that the publication shows, starting from the beginning of an academic year in August and ending at the concluding of it in May.
